As an all volunteer Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI) ski school, volunteers are at the heart of the organization. Volunteers do the administration, training, teaching, and fundraising for the organization. About Volunteering
SEWASP is always looking for dedicated volunteer instructors and community volunteers for the ski and snowboard season.
Dry-land clinics are held Thursday evenings in October/November. On-snow clinics are held in December. Lessons occur on primarily on Thursday afternoons & evenings and some Saturday mornings, and begin the first or second Thursday after New Years. Please contact us if you are interested.

You are in the right place! We are working on the 2025-2026 volunteer application and it will be ready October 1, 2025. Email us to get notified when it is available.
Application notes:
- Ideally, new volunteers should reach out to us to express interest by October and then complete the application in October in order to be ready for training in November, but please still reach out if you find us after that.
- A background check is required.
Volunteer Training
SEWASP offers on and off hill training related to adaptive ski and snowboard instruction, adaptive equipment, and disability for volunteers.
Dryland Training: We will be planning for 3 sessions this season on Thursdays 6:30 – 9:00pm at Alpine Valley Resort, East Troy (room TBD)
- Thursday, November 6, 2025 (new volunteers strongly encouraged to attend to receive the Volunteer Handbook and get an overview of the program)
- Thursday, November 13, 2025 (new and returning)
- Thursday, November 20, 2025 (new and returning)
On-Snow Training: (Alpine Valley Resort) 6:30 – 9:30pm:
- Thursday, December 4, 2025 (new and returning)
- Thursday, December 11, 2025 (new and returning)
- Thursday, December 18, 2025 (new and returning)
